I’ve shared this Asian salad before on my Instagram but wanted to share it on the blog too. It is hands down one of my favorite salads to make for lunch or dinner. The dressing is EVERYTHING!

Asian Salad Dressing Ingredients
- Avocado Oil
- Teriyaki Sauce (I used Hoisin Garlic Teriyaki sauce this time)
- Sesame Seed Oil
- Peanut Sauce
- Red Chili Flakes
- Rice Vinegar
- Sesame Seeds
- Splash of Orange Juice (optional, sometimes I have it, sometimes I don’t)
If you’ve been following me for awhile you know that I don’t measure anything when I cook. Avocado oil is the base here so start with that and then add small amounts of the other ingredients until it tastes right. Remember that you can always add more of each so don’t go overboard right away. If you’ve never used sesame seed oil before, it’s important to note that it is very strong and you don’t need much at all!
Salad Ingredients
- Mixed Greens
- Asian Dressing (from above)
- Carrots
- Celery
- Red Onion
- Monterey Jack Cheese
- Chicken Strips (from Applebee’s or Dairy Queen)
Yes, I 100% get crispy chicken strips from Applebee’s or Dairy Queen once in a while to change the salad up. Usually I just cook a chicken breast at home but sometimes you just want those restaurant chicken tenders!
More Delicious Salads
My coworker who originally introduced this salad to me also put sautéed teriyaki snow peas in it which is delicious and is a good way to get in more veggies. She also had used chili oil instead of red pepper flakes in the dressing but I haven’t been able to find that so I just use the pepper flakes for spice instead.

I’m telling you this salad is incredible! If you give it a try I hope you enjoy! If you really want an easy dinner night, you can just do this and buy a salad kit at the store.
