I love the mango green tea at Starbucks, but I don’t get it very often since I know that it is mostly just simple syrup which isn’t good. Last summer I decided to try a version of this on my own, and it is so much better- on the wallet and on my health. I can’t help but share it with you all!
All you will need is 1 or 2 mangos, organic green tea bags, water, and organic stevia (if desired).
Step 1: Wash the mango(s) before cutting. Then, cut the skin off and cut the mango into chunks. Just place the mango into your blender- I use a Ninja.
Step 2: When your mango is cut and you are ready to blend, add a good splash of water into the blender. This just makes it easer on the blender to turn the mango into a puree. Blend until smooth.
Step 3: When you have a smooth puree, just transfer to a glass mason jar (or whatever you have on hand)!
And that’s it! Super easy- and then you have tons of prepared mango puree for tea. When you are ready to enjoy, make your green tea as you generally would, and once the water is hot and the tea is steeping, pour in a little bit of mango and stir. I like to add a packet of stevia to mine to sweeten it up a bit more. When the tea is ready, just add ice and enjoy!

Sounds lovely. I find the Starbucks version far too sweet. This way you can control the sweetness.
Agreed- and this is much more cost effective, lol!
Oh man…..I LOVE flavored green teas (especially mango). I’ll definitely have to check this one out. Any idea how long the puree will last?
I love them too! I’d say up to 3 to 5 days- so far mine is still good and it has been three days!
