Two ingredient dough is still pretty popular right now and it’s very good. I recently had a calzone from Davanni’s for the first time which was incredible so I decided to try to recreate my own at home to save some money and make it a bit more healthy using the infamous two ingredient dough.
What You Need:
Self Rising Flour (I prefer unbleached flour and just adding baking powder)
Plain Greek Yogurt
Pizza Sauce
Pepperoni
Pineapple
Shredded Cheddar & Mozzarella Cheese (or your choice)
Garlic Powder
Italian Seasoning
Pam Cooking Spray
Directions:
1. In a bowl using your hands, mix together 1/2 cup of the self rising flour with 1/2 cup greek yogurt. Make sure you coat your hands with flour well first (I suck at this and end up washing my hands about 25 times because the dough sticks to my fingers).

2. Spray a cookie sheet with pam and coat the pan with more flour. The first time I made the calzone I didn’t spray it well enough and failed to put enough flour on it so the calzone stuck to the pan which then had to be soaked for hours! Once your dough is well mixed, create a pizza crust on the pan. It doesn’t need to be super thick, dough rises!

3. Then, cover one side of the dough with a little pizza sauce, garlic powder, pepperoni, pineapple, and cheese or whatever toppings you choose! The first time I made this calzone I didn’t put any pizza sauce inside and just dipped it which was equally delicious. Now is also a good time to sprinkle in a little Italian seasoning if you’d like, or you can wait until the calzone is cooked and add it to the top.

4. Next just use a spatula to fold half of the dough over the other half and press the edges together. Mine never looks good but as the dough cooks it fills the imperfections! Spray a little pam over the top for good measure and cook in the oven at 425 degrees until golden brown.

Once done, sprinkle Italian seasoning to the top, get a side of pizza sauce for dipping, and enjoy!
