The first two weeks of my new vegetarian lifestyle consisted of a lot of stir-fry. It’s a versatile dish that can be made different every time you make it. My secret and inspiration for making it so good? Envisioning creating my own at my favorite Mongolian BBQ restaurants! Sounds ridiculous but the items they have at the stir-fry bar are what make stir-fry so delicious. Below are the ingredients I’ve been using.
Favorite Stir-Fry Ingredients
- Broccoli
- Carrots
- Snow Peas
- Cabbage
- Onions
- Mushrooms
- Bell Peppers
- Jar Minced Garlic
- Sweet Red Chili Sauce
- Teriyaki Sauce
- Coconut Aminos
- Cilantro
- Peanuts
Pineapple, green onion, zucchini, peas, celery, and water chestnuts are also favorites of mine but I can’t have everything in my refrigerator at once or it would go bad! I also sometimes add sesame seeds, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

I always have rice with my stir-fry and I top the rice with coconut aminos and sweet and sour or sweet red chili sauce. SO GOOD and makes for a perfectly delicious and filling vegetarian meal.
